sorry this may seem an overly dramatic title and post for the Thursday before Easter but i just witnessed something that’s rattled me a bit. we are minding my sisters dog and we took her for short evening walk. Walking back along the main road near our house we could see ambulance lights, about 3 cop cars and more coming judging by the wailing sirens - a car was crashed up on the pavement near the pedestrian crossing and we could see a man on the road, being frantically worked on by paramedics - word from bystanders is that it seems he may have had a sudden heart attack while driving, and had mounted his car on the footpath - thankfully no one was crossing at the time and no other car was involved. i just thought of him, probably driving home to his family, looking forward to a four day weekend, and then bam - this happens. we didn’t want to be rubber neckers so we didn’t stick around. i don’t know what the outcome is - we did hear - about 20 minutes later, ambulance sirens driving away - so, maybe i’m optimistic but i gather ambulances don’t drive, sirens blazing, to a morgue? i’m hoping they could revive him and get him to a hospital - finger crossed you pull through mate. anyway - hug your loved ones - guess you never know when it will be the last time you see them 😢- sorry to be a debbie downer - i will bounce back, it just knocked me for a bit.
