I liked that article, looking forward to the other parts. It’s so telling that the people who engage in this behaviour refused to be quoted for the article because they were afraid someone would then come for them. You’d think that would make them reflect on whether this is a decent way to behave but it doesn’t seem to.
I would have liked if it noted that the “correction” one person says JK Rowling experienced actually came in the form of thousands of death threats/rape threats and posting pornography under tweets where children sent her artwork for her book The Ickabog. I liked how wide-ranging it was, though, including the Readings books debacle with Julie Bindel and Michelle Law’s involvement in cancelling a young filmmaker then having to issue her own grovelling apology for racism immediately after.
