Hello All I was a longtime member of 9EB, but didn’t join the other site due to security concerns about the moderation team. I found Motherboard through Mumsnet and have been lurking for a while, but found the impetus to join today in the hope that more people will sign/share and raise awareness of the issues raised by this petition. As you know, there have been increasing attacks/undermining of science and education by gender ideologists. Women’s rights are being eroded from every direction. Welcome @Inez - signed as well. Why isn’t the definition of the word ‘man’ getting the same treatment, I wonder? I saw on twitter someone has put up a billboard in New Zealand saying “Woman = Adult Human Female”, I’m not sure of the backstory but there is whinging about it being transphobic. How is defining a woman transphobic? I really wish someone would answer that. I’ll try to find the link. Have signed as well.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. And thanks for signing. I feel like we’re at a dangerous tipping point that most people don’t even know about. And that it isn’t possible to speak openly about, without copping abuse, or worse. I’m frightened for our daughters. At the moment it seems like the TRA/MRA alliance is winning, and idiotic libfem women are helping them to dismantle hard-won rights, because they are all so eager to “be kind”. (Or, cynically speaking, because there’s an advantage in it for them) CassandraNORI I’m surprised the billboard lasted for as long as it did. And of course it was a woman calling for it’s removal. Honestly, the TRAs don’t have to do anything anymore, their cult members will do it for them.

Yes it’s actually so insidious - like the boiling frog analogy. And the shut-us-down catch phrase being ‘transphobe!’ without any critical thinking or analysis being engaged.
