Have you done it before @Chookas?
I gave up drinking for good about 5 years ago if not more - have drunk more than enough in my lifetime and it wasn’t doing me any favours mentally emotionally or physically.
So I have a couple of tips -
Make sure you have something to look forward to at your usual wine o clock time - whether it’s a hot or cold drink, chocolate, whatever. I have a Coke Zero every day - am probably addicted to it.
Keep reminding yourself how great you’ll feel after a month off - you’ll possibly lose weight if you don’t substitute for chocolate.
Remind yourself you’re doing it for a good cause
Waking up fresh without brain fog after a week or so is fabulous - I still appreciate that!
DH did it a few years ago and got a lot of encouraging emails from admin too. He wasn’t drinking much at the time anyway so it was easy for him then.
Good luck - will be much harder in lockdown.
