I belong here too. Been struggling a bit. Work is hard. Some days I just want to walk right out the door. Other days I love the job.
Most people I work with are fantastic, as most of the trouble makers have left - though I am still affected by how they’ve treated me.
My ex manager was a cow. She was a micro manager. It didn’t matter what you did, if she was moody, she’d target someone - she’d send out group emails, or have snap group meetings, to discuss the latest issue. It’s still affecting my decision making today and she’s been gone 2 years. If you chose option A, she’d criticise you because you didn’t go with option B. If you went with option B, she’d criticise you because you didn’t choose option A. She was constantly changing processes, it was so confusing. I remember getting told off because I wasn’t following the correct process - except I was following the latest one she’d emailed out - she’d forgotten she’d just changed it.
Life was much easier when I wasn’t working. I know I should be grateful because covid lockdown hasn’t affected my industry, in fact it’s thriving. Though part of me wishes I had a job where lockdown meant no work for me - I do realise so many people are struggling financially with the loss of income, and that business owners are losing so much. I know it’s a massive first world whinge on my behalf.
@Dawnshade I hope the lockdown ends soon so you can crawl a little bit out of the dark place you’ve found yourself in.
@wannabefree I hope you can get a prescription this Friday.
I know I should go back on meds, but it just takes effort to make that doctor’s appointment. I have been seeing the doctor for other issues, and don’t need to be seen for a few more months (appointment is already booked). I hope to find the strength soon to make another one for the next couple of weeks.
