I would immediately implement a one child policy across every nation in earth. Additional children would not be terminated or disposed of but would go to those unable to have children of their own. I would consider making contraceptives mandatory for both men and women until they apply for a licence to have children and are approved. (Approval based on status of previous parentage rather than income/education etc) I would regulate that anyone able to work from home could do so, regardless of workplace policies and could not be sacked for so doing, but they would be subject to meeting their performance targets while working from home. Workplaces implementing a policy where all staff work from home would cover the internet costs of workers and any equipment needed for work, but would no longer be responsible for office space costs. This would massively reduce congestion and pollution.
Taxing billionaires and the very rich would be high on my agenda. Very high. I would impose a personal wealth limit. It would be quite high - you could become a billionaire. But anything over that has to go somewhere and not just research (unless you are a health based organisation). When you die, you would only be allowed to will 5 million to each person you choose. No more. If they can’t live on 5 million, that is not the problem of the rest of the world. If you choose to donate large amounts to charity, your children can receive the match of that amount. So, if you give 20 million to a good cause, your children can receive 20 million. Even if these people gave 5 million to a great many members of their family, it is still spreading the wealth. You could, of course, leave it with your business. That is fine, but business earning certain amounts would be expected to employ certain amounts of people, or donate generously to the Universal Basic Income scheme.
