I was so thrilled today to see Christine get a position with Australia Post rival Global Express.

I think she’s an incredible businesswoman who was skewered for political purposes of the Morrison government and I’m so very glad to see her go straight back to the top of an organisation.

Feels like a win for the underdog.

The decimation of Auspost is on the governments privatisation agenda.

Destroy it and then sell it off to your mates for $1.

Oh I agree. 100%. A very big loss for Australia Post.

But as a fellow business woman I’ve felt absolutely shattered for Christine for a number of months. It was a witch-hunt and she has kept her dignity and composure and come out on top. Her personal cost must have been significant.

The government has fucked over a government owned organisation that was actually doing well - all for an agenda I suspect we won’t ever fully know.

I do hope she pops up in the media around election time just to remind a certain demographic of women that these liberals will fuck any woman over… not just the poor ones.

The appointment makes me a bit sad, how easy will it be for her to move on?

She’s a great find for them though, from what I’ve read Global Express aren’t doing so well. Theres not many out there that would understand the business as well as her, and she may also manage to bring over some of her key people.

I’m a bit sad for Australia Post though. Whats going to happen to them and how will it impact regional areas?

Do you mean Emotionally? Contractually? Other?

Her non compete term ended a week ago from media reports so contractually she’s a free woman.

Going back to Australia Post isn’t an option. Not when a situation like this plays out.

What else is she to do?

From what I’ve read of her story she’s a survivor so I imagine she will move on with courage, dignity and the support of those around her.
