Yes I agree with you in both counts;
(A) I think his faith allows him to comfortably resolve himself of any responsibility to progress with climate change etc, because he thinks it’s god’s will anyway, so whatever he does won’t make a difference; and
(B) I don’t think you should be able to take a role such as prime minister when you are unable to separate your beliefs from scientific facts and be able to act accordingly.
Look at the bushfires, he completely ignored fire chiefs begging to have even just a meeting to warn about potential catastrophic conditions. It shows you don’t want to understand or accept or facilitate necessary action that is outside your world view.
If you genuinely believe that you don’t need to do anything, because whatever happens is god’s will, then that makes you unable to act in the best interests of your country and its citizens.
