I know, very thrilling for a Saturday night, but has anyone recently bought a top loader washing machine they really like. ( Except for the $2500 SpeedQueen I’m assuming that gives you a massage as well , out of my price range). Looking for around 8-10 kgs. DO NOT want a front loader. Have had 5! They have all ended up absolutely filthy at the front , around the rubber seal, and take forever to wash so I am going back to a top loader. Thanks for any recommendations.

My family and I did have good luck with Fisher & Paykel - are they still around? The ones we had were from the 90s though. Actually we have two fridges by them (I think). Sorry, no help…

Fisher and Paykel. I have a 5.5kg top loader. Wanted bigger but it wouldn’t fit. This is my 2nd or 3rd one. They’re fast, have a super high spin speed for dryer washing, and can be repaired fairly easily. Get an extended warranty for 5 years.

I saw that Speed Queen when I was looking for a fridge - was very attracted to the solid, retro look but holy hell the price 😱. And uses half of the Murray for every wash.
